Saddleworth Amateur Swimming Club (SASC) has been at the heart of the Uppermill community for over 30 years.

 As a SwimMark-accredited club, we nurture swimmers from grassroots to regional, national and even international levels. Notable alumni include Olympian Jess Lloyd and Paralympian Ben Procter. 

With fully qualified coaches and dedicated volunteers, SASC competes in gala leagues, hosts internal competitions, and encourages involvement in triathlons and open events.

Young swimmers (age 8–16) able to swim 25m in at least three strokes and eager to develop technique and confidence.

Competitive juniors progressing through Swim21-accredited training pathways and gala competitions.

Talented individuals seeking structured coaching towards elite and international competition.

How to join

Try a training session: Drop into Monday or Wednesday evening sessions at Saddleworth Pool. Coaches will assess readiness and guide entry.

Complete membership: Register with SASC via our website. Membership includes full club access, competition entries, and progression tracking.
