Oldham Halloween Half Marathon
The 2026 Oldham Halloween Half entries are now officially open.
Known as one of the toughest and most scenic half marathons in the UK, the annual event will once again bring hundreds of runners to Oldham for a challenging 13.1-mile course through the borough’s iconic hills and countryside.

Starting in Oldham town centre, the route takes participants on a demanding climb towards Saddleworth and surrounding villages before returning to the heart of the town. The race has built a strong reputation for its atmosphere, elevation and community support, attracting runners from across Greater Manchester and beyond.

The Halloween-themed event has become a standout fixture in the local sporting calendar, with many runners embracing fancy dress alongside the physical challenge. It is one of the toughest half marathons in the country, featuring climbs reaching around 340 metres above sea level.
We are encouraging runners to register early, as previous events have attracted strong demand. The race is open to participants aged 17 and over and welcomes experienced runners, charity fundraisers, and first-time half-marathon entrants alike.
Half Marathon route and costs. Non-club runners: £35. Club runners/Oldham Active Members: £33
