Oldham School Holiday Camp – A Summer of Success

This summer has been another fantastic season for young people and families across Oldham, with thousands taking part in our School Holiday Camps (sports, dance and swimming).

Thanks to the enthusiasm of participants, the dedication of our teams and the support of our partners, the summer programme achieved some incredible results.

School Holiday Camp by Numbers

Over the course of the summer holidays, we delivered:

  • 3,247 bookings across our activities programme
  • 2,442 attendances at sessions and activities
  • 408 paid places booked by families
  • 2,034 HAF funded places supporting children and young people to access activities
  • 203 Young People’s Memberships taken up during the programme

These figures highlight the growing demand for accessible, high-quality activities that keep children in Oldham engaged and active throughout the school holidays.

Making a Difference for Local Families

Our School Holiday Camps offered a variety of opportunities for children and young people to stay active, learn new skills and spend time with friends in a safe and welcoming environment. The strong uptake of funded places also demonstrates the importance of ensuring activities remain accessible to families who may need additional support.

Looking Ahead

Following a successful summer, we’re already preparing for our October Half Term activities. Swimming sessions will be available at Oldham, while sports activities will take place at Failsworth. HAF-funded places will be available, alongside our Young People’s Membership offer, helping more children and families stay active during the school break.

We’d like to thank everyone who took part this summer and look forward to welcoming even more children, young people and families to our programmes in the months ahead.
