Alex Leach
Born and raised in Oldham, Alex brings over a decade of leadership experience within various Healthwatch organisations across Greater Manchester. Recently, Alex has been pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of Healthwatch Tameside, ensuring that the community’s voices are heard and acted upon by health and care decision-makers.
As the Partnership and Systems Change Manager (Tameside) for Action Together, Alex excels in building strong, collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, from local authorities to community groups. Alex leads on the organisation’s ambition to advance social change through partnerships, bringing together diverse perspectives and connecting them to decision-making spaces.
Alex has previously served as a governor for Huddersfield New College, with membership on the audit committee and the link governor for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
His journey with OCL began many years ago whilst attending the teen gym offer, which was the catalyst for him to embrace a healthy lifestyle into adulthood. Alex is now a passionate advocate for the preventative role of physical activity and is dedicated to OCL’s vision of inspiring people to live active, healthy lives.
